On July 23rd, 2018 I had a massive seizure while out with some friends. I woke up in the emergency room at OHSU where a CT scan showed a mass in my brain. I then was transferred to a Kaiser hospital where I spent the next few days being tested while doctors tried to figure out what it was. That's what led to my first brain surgery, a brain biopsy. The results came back as positive for Anaplastic Astrocytoma a brain tumor. The following months were filled with further surgery, daily radiation therapy, and Chemo treatments. I was out of work from July to February as someone who works as an independent contractor this set me back on my projects by a large margin. I still have regularly scheduled MRIs and monthly chemo. but that time out of work is starting to catch up to me as I still pay off medical bills from this Summer.
