Melissa and I received a call on Thursday from our dear friend Veola, sharing the heartbreaking news that her beloved son, Daniel, has passed away. This unexpected and tragic loss of her only son has deeply affected all who know and love them. No mother should ever have to endure such pain.

Veola has spent her life caring for others, and now it is our turn to care for her. Veola has her sisters who have been by her side over the past few days, helping her sort through Daniel’s belongings and holding space for the immense grief that follows such a loss.
