The morning of June 23, 2025, my brother passed away after a long and painful battle with addiction. He was found unresponsive the day before around 5 pm in Nowata, Oklahoma, and rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
When he arrived, his body temperature was 109°F. The medical team did everything they could—cooling his body, administering fluids—but the damage was already too great. He suffered kidney and liver failure, along with severe brain damage. Sadly, he passed away in the early hours of the morning.
Our loved one struggled with addiction for years. It’s a battle he fought hard and long, and although he tried, the addiction ultimately took his life. But that’s not the full story of who he was. He was a son, a brother, and a soul full of life, humor, and compassion. Though he did not have much, he had a generous heart and was always willing to help others. Deep down, he carried god in his heart. He adored animals and had a gentle way with them that showed his spirit.
We lost our father three years ago, and it hit him hard. That grief stayed with him, but so did the love he had for his family. Despite his struggles, he loved deeply and was deeply loved in return. His absence leaves a space that can never be filled, but his memory will forever live in our hearts.
He lived with our mother, who has dedicated her life to caring for the elderly. She is one of the most giving people you’ll ever meet, but caregiving work doesn’t pay much, and she does not have the means to cover funeral costs on her own.
There was no life insurance policy, and we are facing not only the heartbreak of losing him but the overwhelming challenge of giving him the respectful farewell he deserves. We’re asking for help—any amount, no matter how small, would go directly toward funeral and burial expenses. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page with others.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your prayers, kindness, and support as we navigate this painful time.
