Dear friends and family,

I never thought I’d have to write these words, but I wanted to reach out and let you know what’s happening. My brother, Dan, who means the world to us, is facing one of the toughest battles of his life—a diagnosis of an inoperable tumour; a rare form of cancer called nasopharyngeal carcinoma which is now putting pressure on his brain and effecting his sight in his left eye, hearing and causing numbness on his face. Our family is doing everything we can to support him, and we’re so grateful for any love, strength, and help you can offer during this incredibly difficult time.

Dan is 49 years old and has always been the big man, the one you can rely on and the life of the party. He has a heart of gold and has always been there for others. He didn't want anyone to know about his diagnosis and said he doesn't want any pity but I know so many of you will want to show your love and support and he needs it now more than ever.

Since his diagnosis, his life has been a whirlwind of medical appointments, and he’s just started chemotherapy. It's going to be a long road of chemotherapy and radiation over the next 6 months. The emotional toll on Dan, his family and loved ones has been immense, and we don’t want the constant worry of mounting expenses, his inability to work, and financial stress to stand in the way of his recovery. We want to focus on supporting Dan and ensuring he gets the best possible care.
