Daniel Shapiro's Tree Fundraiser

Hello! My name is Ann Newburn and I was one of Dan's good friends at Marist. I am creating this GoFundMe page in an effort to reach out to all of Dan's family and friends to fundraise for a flowering dogwood tree that will be planted on campus, either by Marian Hall or the Lower West Townhouses, both places where Dan lived and this will be in memory of him. The school has agreed to pay for half of the cost so that leaves an additional $750 to be fundraised. As of right now, the plan is to have a memorial for Dan in October of 2021 at Marist where we will all be able to come together again and remember Dan.
