Help DSP get back on his feet (Daniel S. Parker)

This is a fundraiser to help Daniel S. Parker get back on hit feet! I know Daniel through frequenting LULA cafe like many of us do. He is a staple there behind the bar and one of the many amazing humans that make Lula a place that feels like home. Through many weekend brunches I have gained more than just a favorite place to brunch, but gained some really great friends, he is one of the dear ones!

Daniel took a terrible spill last week and broke his leg in two places,  both the patella and tibia. The initial reports are saying he will be out of work for 4-6 weeks. Following his MRI this weekend he will have to meet with the orthopedist to discuss potential surgery and rehabilitation plan with a final diagnosis of how long he has to be off his feet. 

While Daniel has health insurance it is not a comprehensive plan. Medical bills have not begun to arrive, but they will be piling up undoubtedly very soon. With a minimum of 4-6 weeks out of work he is going to suffer serious financial hardship. I work in the service industry and I can only imagine the amount of stress and pressure this amount of time out of work would cause.


Daniel is one of the hardest working guys I know and is itching to get back to work. He would never ask anyone for help. Yet, he has heart of gold and would do anything for anyone! My hope is that we can help relieve a little bit of the financial stress so that our friend can focus on healing and getting back to life!
