In Loving Memory of Daniel Orey

Donation protected
On April 28, 2021 Daniel Orey received his Angel Wings shortly after celebrating his 44th birthday on April 24th. He visited the ER on Jan 31st for a swollen foot. He was admitted to have blood clots removed and a stent placed, ended up suffering from a stroke during a biopsy, and received a heartbreaking diagnosis of Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer with metastasis to the liver, which ultimately ended his life way too soon and too young.

Those who knew Daniel not only knew how vibrant he was on the outside, but also on the inside. He had a sense of humor, dished out lots of sarcasm, and knew how to have fun. He always had a smile on his face, even until his last days when he was overwhelmed by pain. He’s loved by all, would put others first, never asked for anything in return, be there whenever you need a friend to listen, give advice or have company. He will be sorely missed.

As a long-time friend and Godmother to his nephew, I have set up this GoFundMe on behalf of the Orey family. With the blessing of Daniel, they had planned on donating his body to science through Stanford University. They were working on the paperwork, but Daniel passed more suddenly than they had even fathomed and never had the opportunity to submit the paperwork. Thus, resulting in funeral expenses they did not anticipate. Your donation will help lessen the burden for the family in providing Daniel the celebration of life he is so deserving of.
