Daniel & Mayra rebuild after a fire

I'm Bryan, the son of Daniel and Mayra Ocana.

On the night of May 24th, a fire broke out in the stable on my parents' property. My Dad slowly converted it to his garage. It took him years and years (over 27 years) buying his tools and equipment where he could restore his cars, do wood carving and so on. My father has worked his entire life for his family, friends and even complete strangers. I’ve never seen my Dad turn anyone in need away, no matter the time or day. His garage was a great part of his life, a place he used to help everyone as well as by keeping busy he helped his own well-being. It breaks my heart to see him loose a place that he invested so much in.

My dad lost so much in this fire, not only tools, equipment but what’s worse he lost a place where each corner helped him relive so many memories.

But as he told me that evening, material things can slowly be replaced but the years of memories that I was able to relive just by sitting and fixing my cars or carving a sculpture that’s something he can no longer relive in this space. He now sits in the middle of the debris with teary eyes in total disbelief of whats happened.

Unfortunately, the stable all his tools, equipment household stored items, tractor, landscaping equipment, two cars in essence a lifetime of hard work snd sacrifice gone. Now when he needs it the most (his golden years) he looses it all. I set this Go Fund to help my parents since unfortunately their insurance doesn’t cover the stable since it’s not attached to the main house.

My family is committed to rebuilding the stable and give my father his to go place his safe haven a place where he can keep busy and productive for his own physical and mental health.
