Daniel DaeShik Choi - A Life Well Lived
Donation protected
This fundraiser is for my father, Daniel DaeShik Choi, who passed away recently and unexpectedly. Proceeds will go to his wife and cover his coming medical and funeral expenses.
He was a maker, an artist, a builder, and a dreamer. There was no limit to his creativity and perseverance. I, among many, admired his ability to make the world match his vision of it: bright, whimsical, fun, and beautiful.
His optimism wasn't because his life was easy. He was optimistic because he always knew that he could make a change for the better...and he always managed to pull it off. During his life he immigrated to a foreign country and managed to raise 4 healthy, happy, kids in the hardest place to "make it", New York City. During his life, he also became a successful international artist in New York City and Seoul.
I know that I can't ever fill his shoes, but I'm going to try, using that perseverance he showed me. With his passing I grieve for my loss, but I also grieve knowing the world is a slightly smaller place without him.

He is survived by his mother, two sisters, wife, and four children.
Rest in peace, dad. You did great.
