Hello there! Thank You so much for taking the time out to view my page. My name is Daniel Clarke and I am a Singer/Songwriter and Musician from Manchester. I have been writing and performing my own material for over 25 years and have always dreamt of producing an album of my own which is recorded and produced to a professional standard. Anyone that knows me can clearly see how much music means to me and how serious I take it. I am hard working, I have the talent, the knowhow, contacts and most of all the passion and drive to succeed.
Over the last 2 years I have been working hard trying to set my own recording studio up but it's come to a time where I am nowhere near the finish line. This is mainly due to financial reasons. I am determined to carry on working on this project, not just for myself but to also benefit the community and other people's ambitions, though the thought of still not having an album of my own which I can be proud of kind of grinds me down as I believe that this can also lead to further success.
Since hitting the stage 25 years ago I have entertained thousands of different venues all over Manchester, England and Europe. I would love the good people I have brought happiness to, to get on board with me on this project and be part of something very special. I have over 50 songs written to choose from for the album. I have lots of experience in studios with former bands; The Moods and Death to the Strange, and the outcome is pretty priceless as the songs are still out there for all to hear on major streaming platforms.
There is a lot of planning that goes into a recording. First of all I need to decide which songs and the order they will sit cohesively on the album. I'll work out bpm and instrumentation which will benefit the track, book some sessions in a state of the art professional studio and record them live on an acoustic guitar, overlaying them with electric, keys and percussion and then draft in some amazing musicians to back me up and make these songs sound even more incredible.
Studio time can be really pricey and I plan to pay all of the other instrumentalists involved in the recording. Only when the recording is finished and I am completely happy with it, the tracks will need to be mixed and mastered by professional engineers. Artwork for the sleeve, printing and promotion for the finished product will also be needed as well as duplication and the cost to upload onto streaming platforms.
I can then begin to contact labels, managers, publishers, promotors, radio and magazines to broaden my chances of something big happening. The plan is to have created a buzz by this time and firmly establish myself with the album and promotion with the aim to take things to a professional level and new heights with my songwriting and performing. Then comes the album launches which I will do in reputable Manchester/Salford with scope to consider other venues in the North West and beyond. The plan is to play these gigs along with full band, sound engineer, lighting, and projections.
I have broken down all the financial aspects of the project and feel that with my wages also contributing, along with a few favours that hopefully draw in the target of £3500 should hopefully be enough for a great recording and campaign all running to plan.
All of this is extremely exciting but cannot be achieved unless people are paid in the process. I am more than happy to give hard copies of the album out to anyone who has kindly donated £15 or more and a download of the album to anyone that donates £10 or more.
