Daniel Bzdel Memorial and Family Support

It is with the heaviest heart that we share the news that Daniel Bzdel died in a car accident on the evening of Sunday, January 5th. Daniel's daughter Aura was also in the car and was seriously injured. Aura is at The Children's Hospital in Calgary, where her mother Judy is caring for her, while the other three children are in the care of close family.
Daniel was a beloved husband, father, brother, son, and friend. Daniel's kindness, humour, and quick wit will be missed by all who knew him. His casual demeanor understated his deep love and devotion for his beloved family. His quirky and unconventional ways, and his easy smile brightened every room he entered. The void he has left behind will be felt deeply and with the greatest sorrow by his family, close friends, and all of the lives he touched in his community.
Aura sustained serious injuries and she is has made significant progress to date but will be in the Children’s Hospital many months to come . With the love and support of her mother, siblings, family and friends we pray that she will make a full recovery.
Many people have asked how they can assist in this difficult time. Daniel was the sole income provider for his family. Not only is Judy facing the loss of her husband and the trauma related to Aura’s injuries, there is also her concern for the welfare of her three other children. For those who wish to assist we have created this campaign. All funds raised will be used to cover all expenses and challenges this family will be facing during the adjustments to their new life.
