Once the disbelief faded into heartbreak and sadness, my first thought upon hearing of Daniel Atteberry's sudden passing was "what can I do to help?" That sentiment has become a common refrain around our community. Daniel was a student of ours at Rock 'n' More Music Academy. He took lessons and played in a band called "Reality Check". He was open-minded, smart, talented, prepared, and someone I could rely on to handle the trickier parts of whatever song his band was working on. I feel lucky to have shared musical experiences with him. Through music and everything else Daniel did, it is clear that his life touched more people than he could have ever known.
This won't relieve the pain and sorrow of his friends and family but I'm hoping we can all pull together to show our love and support. We want to help Daniel's family pay for the memorial service of a very much beloved kid who we miss every day.
We're reaching out to everyone to ask for donations to pay for Daniel's memorial service which will be held sometime time in late January or early February. Please feel free to send around to help spread the word.
