Starting Over
On Saturday, April 29th Daniel Acosta Jr. was admitted into the hospital for extremely high blood sugar of 1300 and had an all time low pH level of 6.6. (As many of you may know) He has been a heavy diabetic for almost all of his life. He has been struggling, fighting, and working as hard as he can to try and keep up with his life even more so now. Because of this, he suffered 3 cardiac arrests while being admitted into the hospital. During his second cardiac arrest, he was ‘gone’ for almost 30 full minutes. He has been fighting so hard, he has surprised us all, and kept fighting for his life since he got here. Today, he is already getting stronger everyday and our goal is to bring him home to California with his family.
“Over the past few days, I have learned so much about his life since I moved away. When I heard this happened, there was no question I had to be with him and flew out here on the next plane out. While being out here, there has been no shortage of support and love being shown to my dad of how he tries as hard as he can to scrape anything together to make a better tomorrow. He has tried to help many, over himself.. and while not all of his decisions may have brought him down to the best paths, it really is clear to us that this is the next chapter for him. To be able to have this opportunity, is not only a clear sign from life, but from God himself.”
(-Zoë Alanis Helmstädter ‘Acosta’)
We ask that anything you can spare for a man of hard work and God, to help him come back to California as well as make his second chance at life a little smoother. We want to be able to show him how many people have been praying, sending love to him, as well as how much they care about him. It’s never to late to make a change and it is time for him to see. He is not lost, but he needs to know how much he is not alone. Not anymore. We are with him, we are family and friends, we are all children of God. ❤️ Thank you!
