Meet Joe Sr. and Ellen Dangerfield. Some of you all may know Joe Jr who went to Madison Academy. These are his sweet parents. This time last year I had the privilege of meeting this sweet couple! They invited me into their home where Mr. Joe Sr. made me the best fried green tomatoes I'd ever had.
They purchased this home in 1969 in the Bordeaux area of Nashville where Joe Sr still mows lawns for income. In our brief visit we discussed future real estate plans along with encouraging them to set up simple livings wills and a will and testament which was done shortly after our meeting by an estate planner.
Sadly they experienced a house fire Friday morning July 17th where they lost everything. Thankfully both the Dangerfields and an additional family member were able to get out in time and are safe and healthy!
Due to the age and poor condition of the home they could not get it insured for quite some time. It is a complete loss along with all their furnishings.
They currently are at a hotel until they figure out their next step.
They need our help! There is power in numbers and I believe we can help take off some of the financial burden for them.
