On September 2, 2020 D'angelo Gibson was hit by a car while walking to work in San Antonio Texas. He was rushed to the emergency room and was required to have surgery on his leg. His initial hospital surgery bill was $11,000 plus follow up treatments and physiotherapy. He will be off from work for at least 3 months and does not have medical insurance to cover his expenses.

D'angelo is a Bahamian American that was born and grew up in Nassau Bahamas. He is the son of Loui Gibson and Dianne Gibson and has been living in San Antonio, Texas.
