Danesha Simpson Memorial Fund

My name is Darryl Simpson and this memorial fund rasier is for my daughter Danesha Simpson.

Danesha was a senior at Garfield Senior High School and was working a Papa Johns Pizza located in Woodbridge, Va. On May 23, 2016 I went to visit Danesha at her job as I always did on my way home from work but this time Danesha was not at work when I arrived. When I walked in one of the managers asked me if I had heard from Danesha because she did not show up for her shift. He also mentioned that it was unusual because she has never missed work always called if she new she was going to be running late. At that point I got worried and I started calling Danesha cell phone but it was going straight to voicemail. After seveal attempts I new something was wrong so I drove down to her apartment. When I arrived her car was there and her boyfriend car was there.  I went to her apartment and knocked on the door but there was no answer. Then i continued to knock even louder and yelling out her name and there was still no answer. Then I remembered that she gave me a key because she had not to long moved in. I went back to my car and got the key returned to the apartment to let myself in only to be stopped by the chain on the door. At that point I started calling out Danesha 's name only to still not get a response so kicked the door in to break the chain that was stopping me. Once inside I'm calling out her name over and over and over and still no response. the apartment was dark and as I got further into the apartment I noticed that the light was on in the bedroom. When I got to the bedroom the door was locked so I am banging and yelling Danesha's name and still know response. At this point I went into panic mode and tried to kick down the bedroom door but was unsuccessful. Everytime I kicked the door it was like something heavy was blocking the door. At that point I called 911 and told the dispatch that something was wrong and I needed help. To make a long story short after the police arrived and gained entry to bedroom Danesha and her boyfriend was both found dead. The autopsy showed that Danesha suffered a single gun shot wound to the head. After 2 months of investigating the police determined it to be a murder/ sucide. Danesha boyfriend shot her and then turned the gun on himself.  Danesha was buried on June 8, 2016 next to her mother at Woodbine Cemetary located in Manassas, VA.

The funds that is raised will be used to purchase a memorial to be placed at Danesha grave site. We thank you in advance for any thing that you can help with.
