Danes pfo closure

In 2018 at the age of 29 Dane suffered from a heart attack, after many tests and hospital appointments we learnt he had a hole in his heart, he needs a procedure called a pfo closure to close the hole or face a life time of medication and still being at risk of it happening again or worse. We have learnt that the nhs although they reinstated the funding this year will not fund this for him as the funding is intended for stroke patients not heart attack patients. This is obviously a kick in the teeth and a stressful situation for him and us as a family living in constant fear of it happening again, we are trying to raise the money to go private for the potentially life saving procedure, but this will cost anything from £14000-£20000! We are arranging a consultation at a private clinic in Bristol to find out more. 

Thank you for reading, please help where you can, Dane did not want me to start this page but I feel we now have no choice as the nhs funding is no longer an option as we were hoping for!
