Daniele Broke his femur Sunday, Jan 22nd kiting.....

Daniele has a long road ahead, has undergone the first surgery on his femur with plates and screws his second surgery on his shattered, right heal was postponed due to his high fever.. He is looking at a long recovery of a year or more to be walking normally. He is going to require home care and be immobilized for months since both legs required massive surgeries he will need support just going to the bathroom. Your support will be going to fill in the gaps in insurance for his home care and recovery needs to get him back walking and having a normal life.

What Happened:

Daniele was finishing his kite session when a tourist asked to take a photo. While taking the photo with him, she grabbed his bar without him realizing it, and the kite powered up without him knowing.. he went flying 20ft-30ft and landed In the water. His lower body didn’t move in the wet sand and he rotated 160 degrees his right femur shattered due to the torsion being so powerful and his left heel shattered on impact as well. He is in a lot of pain and is having really tough nights. We don't even know how bad his knee is at the moment since that is a secondary concern.

It's too early to say what his recovery will look but its looks like its going to be a journey of 1-2 years. We are raising funds to help him along that journey.
