Dear Friends, Family, and Community,
I have known Danon Moormann and her beautiful boys since they were knee-high. Their family has been part of Elba and the Wiregrass for almost 80 years. Danon raised her three boys right here in the Wiregrass. She has called Enterprise her home for the last 20 years.
I am reaching out to you in a time of profound sorrow and unimaginable loss. Our dear friend Danon and her loved ones have faced a tragedy that no parent should ever have to endure. Just a little over a year ago, she laid to rest her beloved son, Ramsey, a brave soul who was serving our country on active duty. Today, she is confronted with another devastating blow as she prepares to bury her 16-year-old son, Dane Alexander Moormann, who tragically lost his life in a car accident on May 22, 2024.
The depth of Danon’s grief is beyond words. Losing one child is an unbearable pain, but to lose two within such a short span is a heartache that is unimaginable. Danon has shown incredible strength, but now she needs our community's collective support and compassion to navigate through this darkest time.
I have created this GoFundMe campaign to help ease the immense financial burden that accompanies such profound loss. The funds raised will go towards covering funeral expenses, memorial services, and any other immediate needs she may have. My hope is to allow Danon the space to grieve and heal without the added worry of financial hardship.
Sometimes we don’t know how to comfort or what to do when someone loses a loved one. This is how you can help her.
Every donation, no matter how small, is a beacon of light in this family's darkest hours. Your generosity will provide much-needed comfort and support. If you are unable to contribute financially, I kindly ask that you share this post to help me reach as many compassionate hearts as possible.
With the deepest gratitude,
Marissa Neal
