D’Andrea’s Funeral Arrangements

 

Due to this unforeseen circumstance, the family of D’Andrea O’Meally is requesting assistance to help with her funeral arrangements.  

D’Andrea Yanique O’Meally was a vibrant, smart young woman who graduated from York University with honors and was employed at the Rogers Centre. D’Andrea was loved by both her colleagues, friends and family members and is being mourned by all those that knew her. 

D’Andrea was a loving young lady who was generous, helpful, silly and loving but couldn’t see any of that in herself and took her own life on August 1, 2021.  Although she had so many  amazing things going on for her, the cause of D’Andrea’s death was depression and suicide.

Her depression created an impenetrable fortress that blocked the light, preventing the love of her friends, her family, and any sense of
comfort and confidence from reaching her.

Depression is a mood disorder that affects how people think, feel, and live their daily lives, so much so that D’Andrea left a note,

In the note she left behind, D’Andrea wrote how much she loved us, and that she is sorry, but the truth is that we are the ones that are 
sorry for not seeing any of this . We are sorry for not being able to change your mind and we are the ones that are sorry for maybe not 
letting you know enough how much you were loved and how we will miss you every day. We also believe that being in lock down
(on her own) during a Pandemic and the loss of employment was a contributing factor.
