Dandelions - Help us get trans people onstage!

Set after an apocalyptic wipeout, a rag-tag group of those who remain set to find out what this new world, filled only with trans people, brings for them. Amongst grief, comradery and new-found freedom, this group will discover the joys and pains of a world in which only the ‘other’ is left.

Hi, we’re Bits & Pieces, an entirely trans-led theatre company focused on creating original productions that empower and provide opportunities for transgender, non-binary and LGBTQ+ artists in the local Kent area.

We love providing queer storytelling that can be enjoyed by all audiences, and our mission is to highlight and amplify trans voices within the local community through our creative work.

In June 2025, we will be debuting our first original production, Dandelions.

The hybrid theatre-cabaret style show has been written, directed, designed and produced completely by our team of newly established trans theatremakers , and is proud to offer local trans and non-binary actors a professional credit as both actors and creative collaborators.

It’ so important to us that we’re able to provide a space for local LGBTQ+ talent to share their craft and help to create meaningful work that reflects their own experiences, and we believe that our show will truly help to spark discussions between all manner of audience members - regardless of their identity - about the importance of recognising everybody’s worth and place within our diverse society.

But we need your help!

Dandelions is currently being produced entirely out of pocket - meaning that much of our work is voluntary, and all of our resources have been self-funded.

With your donation, no matter how big or small, you can help contribute towards a passion project that we are so excited to share with our local community. Funds raised would go towards resources for prop-making, costumes, venue and running costs, marketing and advertising, and much, much more. We are creating this show from the ground up, and any donation would be greatly appreciated by us all, and would change the course of the production.

If you are unable to donate at this time spreading the word of our company to your friends, family or local community would mean just as much! We offer regular free workshops for those interested in theatre, gender and performance, and would love to reach more people who may be interested.
