Hi, I'm Amber Batt.
I have been dancing since I was three years old, and I haven't stopped since. In more recent years, I've been attending different dance competitions and conventions to deepen my training. I attended DanceMakers, Inc.'s Regional Dance Convention and Competiton in Daytona Beach this past November. I also attended DanceMakers, Inc.'s Regional Dance Convention and Competition in New Orleans this May. In New Orleans, I competed one contemporary group number, and one contemporary duo with Vibe Dance Center.
Our team is now going to DanceMakers, Inc.'s Nationals the end of June. It is a week long dance convention with different dance classes including, Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary and Hip Hop, all lead by DanceMaker's amazing faculty. This convention has many scholarship opportunities for more training and different dance experiences. I am fundraising for this trip.
This past November, I won a scholarship for a summer intensive at Retter's Academy of Dance in the beginning of July in California. The scholarship covers tuition only. In addition, I'm trying to fundraise for DanceMaker's Summer Intensive which is also in July. We need airfare, hotel and rental car costs also covered to secure these opportunities for the month of July.
Can you help? I'm trying to raise money so I can go to these events to move my dance career forward. I thank all of you in advance who make a donation, dance means so much to me and I love doing it!
