Hello friends,

 

My name is Claude (they/them), and I am fundraising for my top surgery in 2022. I have a consultation with a surgeon tomorrow, and I would love to have a date confirmed in the upcoming months. Summertime will be the sweetest.

 

It’s been a five-year journey to discover and understand better who I am, my gender expression through words, profound realisations and necessary heartbreaks. Slowly and steadily growing stronger in my sense of self, reclaiming my body, my masculinity. How to dance in the world.

 


It’s been challenging as needed for my younger self to come out again and again. Transforming fears and re-inviting joy. The path is ultimately about authenticity, vulnerability part of the healing. I’ve now reached a place where I feel grounded, supported by loved ones. Genuinely ready for this milestone. And so filled with excitement for what will come next.

 

Trans healthcare in the UK has been challenging to navigate; paying for private care has been my choice since the beginning, including ongoing therapy for the last two years and two referrals necessary for non-binary patients.

 

The funds will help me complete the savings I already have for the actual surgery, cover a consultation preceding the operation, travel+accommodation costs on the day and the additional check-ups, the time off from work I deeply desire for the best recovery possible.

 



If I reach that goal, I also aim to gather a few of my chosen family members for a celebration.
