Hi everyone! My name is Allegra and my sister’s name is Gigi, We are 13 and 11 years old and we are trying to raise funds so that we can attend Canada's National Ballet school this summer.

Dancing at The National Ballet School of Canada is our dream. As my sister and I work hard every day at school and at our local dance academy, our mom also works hard at her job, earning as much money as she can to get me and my sister closer to our dreams.

Unfortunately, she doesn’t earn as much money as we need to get there, since all the money goes to paying the bills, groceries, rent, we only have enough to cover our most basic needs, this is the reality of being a single mom. Time is running out for us as the deadline for payment is coming up fast. Please help us in taking the first step towards reaching our dreams, even a minor contribution would go a long way for us.

Gigi and I have been dancing for as long as we can remember. Ballet is the most important reasons we get up every morning and it is our purpose.

Only just two years ago, I started auditioning for professional ballet schools abroad. However, due to Covid-19 and some devastating family circumstances, I couldn’t do what I wanted to do the most in the world. It was and still is the hardest struggle I’ve had to go through in my life.

The same is true for my mom. She has believed in my sister and I, ever since we started dancing, even driving us to the next town several times a week during the pandemic so that we could train with the best local teacher who agreed to keep us in her 'bubble'. Together, we have worked so hard. We want to imagine that we can live our dreams.

Sadly we haven’t had the money and even though my sister has been accepted into the National ballet school for the last 2 years, she's never even had the chance to go. Time is running out and we only have a few more weeks to raise enough funds.

I’ve always wanted for my sister to enjoy taking part in auditioning for professional ballet schools along side me, but most importantly, for us to dance together on stage one day and become creators and artists for our favourite art form.
