Let me be transparent I don’t want your support, but truly need it. I know the difference between a need and a want.
Why I need your support?
Four (4) years ago at the age of 11 I joined the Art of Stepping (AOS) and made it on the Competition team. I had environmental challenges, limited competition experience, and was very timid. AOS broke me out of my shell and open up a new world for me. Fast forward, now age 15 I will be competing in one of the biggest dance competitions today – World Dance!!
Dance and I have had a love affair since the age of 3. It took me until age 12 to get the courage to challenge myself and take my love & skills to the next level. Despite COVID happening, and it being out of my control, I could not let it stop my love for Dance. This pandemic actually made me re-evaluate all areas of my life and knock down barriers in my path.
I actually made it and qualified for World Dance 2021 while dancing remotely and through virtual classes. This is something I could have never imagined would happen, but it did! Moreover, I qualified to perform as a Solo act for 2 genres, Jazz & Step making my preparation & routine twice as hard. The latter, requires me to take part in 3 regional competitions (Dreammaker, Imagine and Nexstar).
How you can support?
World Dance 2021 operates as a competition with many regional circuits and qualifiers. Therefore, there are a ton of expenses from registration fees, travel to wardrobe/makeup & more! Your support has to come in the way of monetary donations (raising money).
I need to raise $1,300 before December 31, 2020 as the 3 major regional competitions I qualified to compete in kick of come January 20201. Please support me if you can and I sincerely thank you in advance for you time, consideration and donations!
