Hi Everyone, We are the HA Dance Company From Derby
 
We have some very exciting news to tell you! But we need your help!
 
Our team have been chosen out of thousands of applicants to represent England For the Dance World Cup, the BIGGEST dance competition in the world!  Our team is made up of 45 dancers from across derby aged between 6 and 19 years of age.  We train between 12 – 16 hours per week at our studio based in Derby City Centre. In November we entered the Dance World Cup Qualifiers for those wishing to represent team England. Thousands of dancers across England entered…………….And guess what? We made it through!!
 
The Dance World Cup is held this year in Burgos Spain and we need your help to get there.  There will be around 120 thousand dancers from 62 countries across the world competing in all Genres of dance.  And we are going to be there as part of team England! We are so excited as this is such a huge achievement for our team! And what a team we are! But ...  We need your help to raise the funds to ensure that we able to take the whole of our team regardless of individual financial circumstances.  Our team has never been elitist, it has always been about talent.  And the ability to compete in a world arena should never be based on anything less.
 
This event is live streamed around the world. This is an outstanding achievement for us and we hope you will find some way to support us.
 
On Saturday 15th May, one of the Principals of our studio and his best friend are going to do a sponsored Marathon!! Jay Hardy and Mark Alcock will be running from their home town of Leicester all the way to our Dance Studio in Derby!! This is 26.2 miles!! Jay & Mark both started their running journey in the first lockdown, but have never ever ran this far!! This is going to be a real HUGE challenge for both of them ... but those who know Jay and Mark, know that they are alway up for a challenge!! So bring it on!! I'm sure there will be many laughs along the way!! 

We are hoping that our students may join them for the last 2 miles in Derby where they will all arrive back at our dance studio where their families and teachers will be waiting for them!! We will be there along the way to throw water at them, cheer them on and maybe even carry them both across the finish line! Who knows!! 

Please get behind these wonderful students, Jay and Mark to help raise the funds to get our team get to Burgos Spain for an event that is such an outstanding life achievement for them all! 

It would mean more to these children than you will ever know. They work so hard and they throughly deserve this chance to represent Team England!!
