Every child deserves to feel included, celebrated, and special. I am starting this fundraiser to help create a memorable dance for children and teens with special needs — a night filled with joy, music, friendship, and unforgettable memories. The funds raised will help cover the cost of the venue, decorations, food, drinks, and other essentials needed to make this event truly magical for these amazing kids and their families.

I wanted to put on this dance because many special needs children may never get the opportunity to experience events like homecoming or prom. I want them to have a night where they can dress up, dance freely, make memories, and feel just as special as they truly are. I also want parents to have the chance to sit back and watch their children experience a sense of normalcy, happiness, and inclusion that every child deserves.

This cause is very personal to me because I have a best friend named Katie with autism. A few years ago, I attended the “Someone Special Dance” with her, and seeing the happiness on her face that night changed my life. Watching so many families smile, dance, and enjoy themselves showed me how something as simple as one dance can make such a huge impact. That night inspired me to create the same kind of experience for others in our community.
