Dance Therapy In NYC Not covered by insurance

Hi my name is Gianna, I am 15 years old, I am a competitive dancer, I attend a performing arts high school in NJ and dance is my major, I have been dancing for over 11 years.

This past month I unfortunately got injured when practicing a skill I have been doing for almost a year, I dislocated my right patella, after seeing many doctors, X-rays and MRI it has been said that I have a Osteochondral fracture of the patella as well as a medial patellofemoral ligament tear. With these injuries of my knee I will need surgery, which will be done this upcoming month in NYC at HSS “The Hospitals For Special Surgery” These doctors are amazing and they hope to have me dancing again with full mobility in a little over 6 months. With this being said we still need more amazing people to help with this journey of healing including the right physical therapist, I will be going to a local physical therapist for patella rehab, then I hope to go to the dance physical therapist facility that was very highly recommended to me, West Side Dance Therapy in NYC.

Being such a young woman that has so many dreams of continuing dance in the future professionally I would love to be able to be helped by the right and best people and places possible. After recently looking into this place we are now aware that the payments for this is not covered by insurance and is only able to be paid out of pocket. The initial cost for the visit is $300.00 and each additional appointment are $140.00 plus the cost of traveling to and from NJ/NYC..

If you don’t know me I never give up and I never look down. I am such a passionate person especially when it comes to my dance career, always dancing ever since I was little. Practicing in my kitchen, backyard, parties etc… I just have such a love for dance and stoping is not on the table.
