Please Help Stage 4 Melanoma Cancer Survivor

Donation protected
About me: I am just a single mother of two great kids. One of which is battling stage four melanoma that has spread to her brain. I’m not the type of person to ask for money, I’m very independent and have taught my children that you have to be able to take care of yourself in life. But when you learn that cancer has crept it’s way into your life it makes swallowing your pride a no brainer.

My tiny dancer: Lennon Sachiko Kempf, was sent to us from heaven above, on March 28, 1993, my kiss of life. Sachiko means happy child in Japanese. When she was young we called her Sachi. Though she is 25% Japanese, she is 100% happy.  She is happiest when she is dancing. She started taking ballet, tap and jazz dance at age 3. Tiny Dancer Pic Adding hip hop, salsa and contemporary to her growing list of dance genres. Her aspiration is to dance for the rest of her life. My Teeny Dancer After graduating high school she was determined to pursue her dream so LA was where she wanted to be. She dropped her youthful named and started using her first name Lennon and began to take classes from her favorite masters. At 26 years old, it is safe to say that she has 20 years of dance experience. My tiny dancer is all grown up. Not so tiny dancer pic  I’m so proud of the lady she has become, she cares about her friends like family and is authentically herself. Please look her up on IG for pic and videos.

Her prognosis: Sachi had this little mole on her left shoulder for most of her life and when we had a biopsy 6 years ago, it was benign. But 5 years later grew and began to bleed. A Second biopsy came back positive for melanoma. That phone call I will never forget, it felt like a train hit me. My heart sank and my stomach had a warm ache. This was in mid-May 2019. When I went to LA to visit her we had just stopped by her Dr. about changing her bandage. Before and after the first surgery  I wanted to take a photo of it, but honestly, I was in shock at that moment the doctor's eyes widen when they remove the bandage. The blood ran down to her elbow before they can grab towels gauze and eventually a sheet to stop the bleeding. It was about the size of a plum and the color of one too. Her doctor looked at me and said, "We are admitting her now".  After 3 months of observation (PET & CT scans) she now has 3 malignant nodules in her lungs and 2 tumors in her skull. So in a matter of 4 months, she went from stage 2 melanoma on her shoulder to stage 4 cancer with melanoma in her head and lungs. Her team of oncology doctors has not yet started her on a treatment plan yet! We have appointments next week to discuss options. Doesn't that sound crazy? Do I need to have more patience or find another team of an oncologist? First-time mom of a cancer patient, I have so many questions.

About Kahu: Our therapy dog: Kahu (Priest or Shamon) Malama (One who cares for or watches over) rescued our family after our cat Boots died while I was away from home taking care of Sachi during her brain surgery in November 2019. He has lifted our spirits and brought us so much love, we are truly grateful for our Kahu  (aka Fluff N Stuff) He is our therapy dog, for now, later he will be a certified therapy dog for patients in need. He is our spokesman for our Melanoma awareness campaign. Follow him on IG KahuFluffNStuff and twitter @nursejem13.

My Goal: To raise funds for living expenses and alternative treatments and bring public awareness to the dangers of melanoma. PLEASE share this page with everyone you know and everyone you don't.
