Dance Film: Finding Happiness After Change

Donation protected
I’m creating a short dance film inspired by Taylor Swift’s song “happiness,” exploring the journey of rebuilding and finding joy after an important chapter in life ends. This project is deeply personal to me, as I connect with the lyrics and the message that happiness can be found even after loss—whether it’s a friendship, relationship, or any meaningful experience. I want to share this story through movement, showing that hope and renewal are always possible.

I’m casting five local dancers to join me in bringing this vision to life. Together, we’ll use dance to illustrate the emotional process of letting go and rediscovering happiness. The film will be shot by a talented high school student who is passionate about filmmaking, adding a fresh perspective and supporting young artists in our community. Once completed, I plan to share the film on YouTube and Vimeo, enter it into local short film festivals, and possibly host a screening to reach as many people as possible.

Funds raised will go directly toward booking a studio space and compensating the filmmaker for their time and effort. Every contribution will help us create a meaningful piece that encourages others to embrace change and find happiness in new beginnings.
