Dance Family is Homeless After Fire
Donation protected
Two weeks ago a family at our dance studio lost their home after a deadly fire tore into their high rise building at 235 Gosford Blvd in North York. They are told it will be at least 6 months before people can return home once the structural damage is repaired. This family is currently staying at a hotel. The tenant insurance coverage they have will expire after this weekend and they have nowhere to live.
I am reaching out to family, friends and our MADfam dance community for help. The family needs a place to stay until their home is safe enough to return. This could be months or even a year. Please help me in raising funds for the family to help pay for a place while they wait to move back in and also to help cover any additional costs associated with replacing their belongings that were lost or damaged in the fire.
Sweet Mia is 5 years old and is currently enrolled in our Ballet/Tap and Jazz/Acro combo classes. She saw the fire, inhaled the heavy smoke and waited patiently for the fire fighters to rescue her and her parents. Something a young child should never have to go through.
I am so fortunate to be surrounded with so many caring people who have hearts of gold. I ask that you give a little to help a lot. Please help me in making the Holiday season a happy one for this family. If you were ever looking for a way to pay it forward, here it is!
