After trying to work through some extremity numbness over the past six months or so Dan begrudgingly sought out medical advice. He was immediately sent for an emergency MRI where they discovered what they feared, a disc around Dan's C-3 vertebrae was pushing against his spinal cord and Dan was at risk of becoming paralyzed at any moment. He was admitted and underwent surgery the following morning to have the disc removed and replaced artificially.

While his doctors have deemed the surgery to be a success, Dan will be undergoing a long rehabilitation. As we all know medical bills can add up quickly, and while he does have insurance to help mitigate those, the associated costs  have begun to mount as he has been out of steady work since January. He will be confined by a bulky neck brace for the next three months and has very limited mobility at this time. It is his hope and intention to return to work as soon as possible but until then he's going to need some financial help.

It was less than a year ago that Dan spent weeks tending to his close friend when he was suddenly stricken by a stroke. Dan tirelessly attended to his friend and was instrumental in his recovery in the first few weeks after the stroke. Now with shoe on the other foot it's Dan that requires our help.
