Danaya’s surgery and recovery journey

Hi, my name is Danaya, and I’m 22 years old. I’m reaching out for help during one of the most difficult moments of my life. I recently found out I have an ovarian cyst that needs to be removed. My surgery is scheduled for October 23rd, the furthest I could push it back. This surgery is essential to save my ovary — and with it, my future chance of having children.

Over the past few months, the pain has gotten worse. Every day, I worry about the cyst growing or bursting, which could be dangerous. Unfortunately, I didn’t apply for benefits through my job this year, so when I take the month off to recover after surgery, I won’t be receiving any pay.

I live alone and cover all my expenses myself, so missing a month of work will be a huge financial hit. The funds from this campaign will go directly toward my surgery co-pays and my living expenses during recovery, so I can focus on healing instead of worrying about bills.

This isn’t something I would normally do — asking for help is hard for me — but right now, I truly need support to get through this.
