My best friend Dana Radde entered the hospital on January 13th, 2025 with liver complications, and has been fighting for her life. Doctors found an internal bleed on Friday the 17th and she had to have several rounds of very painful procedures as more bleeding kept occurring. They were able to stop the bleeding, but so many other issues have popped up (as is common with liver issues). We were told early on that in order to survive, she would need a liver transplant. I am happy to report that she has been APPROVED (pending insurance) to receive a liver transplant!! We are so thankful for everyone who has been praying and sending good vibes her way.
When she does receive her shiny new liver, we are told she will remain in the hospital for 6-8 weeks, and then transfer to a rehabilitation center to fully heal for another 6-8 weeks. She has a long road to recovery ahead!!
If you know Dana, you know how much she gives to others. Always cheering on her kids in their various sports games, providing meals (to the neighborhood and the teams- she's an awesome cook!), and just being an overall loving and dedicated friend and caregiver.
Dana's younger children are 13, 15, 16, and her older children are 20 and 22. She also has two adorable grand babies that are the light of her life (known as Gigi to them). Her older children have been staying at the house to help take care of the younger boys, and multiple volunteers have been staying at the hospital with Dana, and providing meals for the kiddos to try and maintain some sort of normalcy for them.
Knowing that she will have a long road to recovery, I am starting this gofundme for her and her children to cover rent, bills, and anything else she will personally need during her extended hospital stay, recovery, and getting back on her feet when she is able to return home. Thank you so much for considering making a donation, and sharing this fundraiser.
If you would like to make a donation outside of gofundme to avoid the fees, feel free to reach out to me.
