Dana Vergara Fund

Hello, my name is Alyssa. I am arranging this fundraiser for my amazing cousin Dana.

Dana is 34 and lives in Nyack, NY, with her husband, Tommy and their daughter Jolene. Dana was diagnosed with stage 3 rectal cancer when Jolene was only 5 months old. She has been out of work since October of 2021, receiving chemo and radiation treatment, multiple surgeries, and currently recovering from the removal of the tumor.

Her focus is on the day-to-day progress of healing and recovery. Still, given these circumstances and the volume of medical bills, I can’t help but worry about the financial and emotional toll this will take. This has not been the only challenge Dana and her family have faced this year. Dana is an incredibly resilient and selfless person. I would like to raise enough money to pay their mortgage through the winter and assist with the mountain of medical bills as she continues to heal from this surgery and plan for the one to come in January of 2023.
