Many of you already know that Dana lost her house last Wednesday.  Fortunately she and her husband, her dogs and their vehicles are fine but the house and the majority of its contents are burned/damaged.

Her family and neighbors provided immediate help that day, and she has moved in with her father for the time being.

She was able to salvage some of their clothes and some photographs, but appliances, furniture and most all her personal effects are gone.

Now she begins the process of starting over.

 The Red Cross has reached out to offer assistance, and we’ve let her know there is a USI Cares program that might be able to help.

 At this point it will take a while for insurance to decide how it will respond and months for them to probably tear down/replace.

She is still wrapping her arms around the reality – it appears that funds to cover a long list of day to day living needs would be most helpful now.
 
If you know Dana, she is very resourceful and always the one to provide support in the background – it’s not her style to draw any attention to herself.
