Dana is a single mother who has dedicated her life to being of service and helping others. She is a certified Shiatsu Practitioner, Professional Bowenwork Practitioner and Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. Her intentions while using any of her modalities is to create a safe and sacred space for her clients to connect with their bodies and spirits to feel empowered to take control of their health. She has been diagnosed with antibiotic resistant Chronic Lyme Disease.
Lyme disease is about multiple chronic intracellular infections that have slow and progressive harmful effects upon the bodies functional processes which in turn create new problems. It is a complex of chronic infections that cause immune system de-regulation and gastrointestinal and neuroendocrine ( nervous system and hormonal) dysfunction. Lyme disease is a neurotoxin illness meaning it poisons and damages the brain and nervous system.
Living with persistent symptoms of Lyme disease affects your mobility and cognitive skills. It also causes extreme lifestyle changes and emotional stress as it causes: fatigue, restless sleep, pain, aching joints or muscles, swelling in the knees, shoulders, elbows, and other large joints, decreased short-term memory and ability to concentrate, and speech problems.
Her treatment is going to be very costly, along with traveling expenses to the Institute and her lost wages. In addition, all patients are asked to provide basic fasting blood work and a panoramic x-ray of the jaw prior to their first visit. The treatment typically lasts for 2 years.
