Hello, my name is Kentessa (Blanton) McWilliams. On Tuesday, October 7th, my mother, Dana L. Blanton, was involved in a house fire. My mother was transported to Eskenazi Burn Unit in Indianapolis, IN, where she was given the utmost care. She succumbed to her injuries and passed on October 12th, 2025, (52) surrounded by her loved ones. She did not have a life insurance policy so we are trying to raise funds so we can lay her to rest with dignity.

She was born in Connersville, IN, on January 12, 1973. She was a loving daughter, sister, and mother and never met a stranger. She was well known for being a very caring and a kind person. She enjoyed studying astrology, going for walks, enjoying nature, coloring, watching movies, and playing card games with her family and friends. When she was younger, she loved going to concerts and listening to all genres of music.

Her memories will be held close to the hearts of her children, Kentessa (Carrissa) McWilliams, Brittany Guffey, Dasha Blanton, and Danika Blanton; her sister, Dreama (Jeremy) Bergen; her niece, Raina Tibbs; grandchildren, Chloe and Avery McWilliams; her longtime companion, Kevin Guffey; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

At this time we do not have a service date. We expect the service to be sometime next week.
