Dana's determination assists her in making progress daily. Thank you to every one who helped her get home! On October 26, 2018 Dana went to a movie with her children, Mathew and Bailey. While there, Dana lost her balance and fell to the floor, shattering her shoulder and breaking her arm. She has had surgery, pins in her arm, and a shoulder replacement (stainless steel joint). She will be in recovery for the next 6 months to 1 year. Funds are required as soon as possible as she requires numerous aids for daily living such as a wheel chair, wheel chair ramp, lift chair for the bath tub, assist bars and leg braces which have a cost of $3,200.00 and her daughter Bailey also requires ongoing leg braces at a cost of $1,800.00 and related therapy. Dana will also require daily assistance from outside sources in order to maintain proper personal hygiene as well as daily needs for herself and her children and ongoing therapy. Dana has a long recovery ahead and still requires support.
Both Dana and Bailie have been clinically diagnosed with Charcot, Marie, Tooth syndrome, type 2. This disease is a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy. Both have peripheral neuropathy, affecting both hands, arms, legs, balance issues and is very painful. This condition affects each individual in different ways.
Dana's Mother will be responsible for the distribution and allocation of all funds received.
Any and all contributions (large or small) to help Dana will be gratefully accepted as her situation is urgent. We ask Blessings for each and every contributor to assist Dana and her family. We thank each and every contributor. Please share this story with friends and family, as well as business contacts. Thank you!
