My brother Dan is not doing well and needs a medical treatment that is not covered and he is unable to afford.
We have looked into the options. The pharmaceutical company programs only work with you if you have private insurance and the cut off for additional help from Medicare for uncovered items has a very low threshold of income, not considering cost of living in NJ/3 kids.
He needs 4 infusion treatments for 2 months, then a treatment every other month after that. The cost for the medication (not including being administered/doctor fees) is 1,300 per infusion.
We are trying to raise enough for a year of the medication and are currently assessing what additional fees there are to receive the treatment. Any amount you are able to give is appreciated.
