You may know that ten years ago Dan was diagnosed with a heart condition known as aortic dissection.  Since then he has worked hard to maintain a healthy lifestyle, including training and participating in Iron Man triathlons.   While participating in the Lake Placid Iron Man on Sunday July 28, Dan was forced to drop out of the competition because of severe abdominal pain.  The pain progressed and that evening Dan was taken to the hospital where the doctors discovered his heart condition had worsened.  He was transported via ambulance to Albany, New York (four hours away) where he was placed in ICU.  Luckily the hospital is known for it's cardiovascular surgeons.  Dan is scheduled for surgery on Thursday August 1.  Your donation will help offset the cost of Dan's medical bills and treatment.  Your support of Dan and his family is sincerely appreciated!
