Dan Thomas' Legacy: A Memorial on the Owyhee River
Donation protected
The Winter's behind us and in a normal year, our dear friend Dan Thomas would have already rafted down the Owyhee River at least twice... the river and all of us will miss how he loved to share "his" river with each of us and to appreciate the joy and beauty that piece of country provides us.
Dan loved all rivers, rafting and the friendships that could start on the water. But the Owyhee is special; Dan was a part of the river, and the river was a part of Dan.
In honor of Dan and his love of Southeastern Oregon, it is our goal to establish a long-term memorial to be placed at the Bureau of Land Management's Rome, Oregon Owyhee River launch site.
To contribute to a permanent memorial that will be placed at Rome, do so here. Once the memorial is finalized and placed, any contributions beyond that will be distributed to one of Dan's favorite charities.
