Dan Sanders LD Youth Wrestling Memorial
Donation protected
In the late 80s early 90s our Pop, Dan Sanders, and Dan Verdelli, started the Lower Dauphin Youth Wrestling Program, selling hot dogs during practice to raise money, and taking fliers door to door to encourage kids to give wrestling a try. As a Lower Dauphin Wrestling Alumni, Pop knew the impact wrestling could have on young kids, and wanted to give kids a place to run around and be crazy, and learn some technique and compete. From dodge ball to Kangaroo Court, Pop had an endless energy for the program.
On December 3rd Pop joined his brothers, Jim Sanders (LD Wrestling Alumni ) and Tom Sanders (LD Alumni). We can only imagine the wrestling matches taking place in heaven now!
Pop did not want services. Instead, to honor his legacy, memorial donations can be made to the Lower Dauphin Youth Wrestling program in our Pop’s name! All funds raised will be presented to the Lower Dauphin Youth Wrestling Program to honor Pop’s generosity and love of wrestling.
Sincerely,
The Family of Dan Sanders (‘69)
