Dan’s love of fishing started early in life, taking family trips to Montauk State Park. As a kid, he camped and fished, honing the skills he’d later teach his own boys. These days, he’d start the season with the guys at the opener and end his season in October with Anne – fishing and kayaking frequently in between with as many family and friends as would join them.

We would like to honor Dan with a permanent place in the park that he loved so much. These funds will help us to establish and maintain a Memorial bench at Montauk State Park in honor of Dan. Once there, we hope that you stop by, sit awhile, tell a Dan story, and maybe throw a line in. Update: Everyone has been so generous and any funds raised beyond our goal will go to restoration and replacement of the memorial benches that had been lost in last year's flooding.
