Hello Everyone,

I would first like to express my gratitude to my senior pastor and the elder board of Cedar Valley Church, for graciously allowing me to undertake an eight-week personal missions journey, beginning on October 15th, 2023. A journey that involves riding my motorcycle 9,000 miles from Minnesota all the way to the port town of São Francisco do Sul, Brazil.

The purpose of my trip is really two-fold: to live out my faith devotionally and engage missionally, and I hope to encourage others to do the same. So, as I head south, I’ll be serving alongside missionaries and local pastors, in each of the 13 countries I travel through. Whether it be construction, maintenance, painting, cleaning, outreach, feeding programs, worship or teaching. I'll be ready to serve in any way I can. It’s also my mission to share the difference Christ has made in my life, with someone different, each day as I travel.

Each day along the way, I'll be sharing my experiences with you on YouTube, Facebook, and other social media platforms. I’ll post daily update videos of exciting riding moments, conversations with locals, border crossings and ministry moments. I’ll also post missionary interviews and prayer moments from high places that look over the cities where the missionaries are working.

As the Missions Pastor of Cedar Valley with a desire to see our 2023 Kingdom Builder Projects be fully funded, I'll be highlighting each of them throughout the trip.

I know this is a big ask, but would you prayerfully consider joining me through prayer and giving? With a detailed travel budget of $15,000, I need help to cover all the basics like gas for the bike, meals, and overnight stays, maintenance, trip insurance, camera equipment, and other tech tools to help me document the journey each day. My budget also includes a safe ferry ride to bypass the dangerous, remote region between Panama and Colombia, called the Darien Gap. Through my existing partnership with New Heart World Ministries, your donations through GoFundMe are used exclusively to cover my expenses and are tax deductible.

More specifically regarding prayers, much of my route will consist of the Pan-American Highway and is considered mostly safe. At the same time, it’s not without concerns. As God is already with me, would you pray for my continued safety along the way? That I would be free from injury, accidents, breakdowns and theft. And for smooth border crossings through every country I travel.

God has already provided me with amazing support and guidance from a few of our own Cedar Valley missionaries, like the Grueztmachers in Mexico, the Dahlagers in Costa Rica and the Vargas’ in Brazil. But I am also prayerfully asking for someone to ride with me. I believe God has a specific Spanish-speaking riding partner who shares my passion for missions and sharing Jesus. As I continue to pray and plan, God has provided me with several local riding partners and escorts through the countries of Mexico, Nicaragua, Honduras, Columbia, Chile, and Brazil.

I can’t tell you how committed and excited I am to get started and we can’t thank you enough for your support. As we capture and share this journey, I hope you follow along and find yourself encouraged to live devotionally and engage missionally. Moved to spend more time in the Word and Prayer, and able to freely share the difference Christ has made in your life, with someone else.
