Support Dan O'Bryan's Brain Tumor Road-to-Recovery

Hey there! My name is Dan O'Bryan. I'm 56 & live in Louisville, KY with my wife, Jennifer. We have 3 adult children between us: I have an awesome 22 year old son, Aidan, who is autistic. And 2 beautiful stepdaughters, Maddie (20) & Lilly (18). Professionally, I'm the academic advisor and an instructor in the Nursing Division at a community college.
In Oct 2024, I was diagnosed with a benign - yet large & long - tumor on my brain stem. In Dec 2024, I went through a 10-hour surgery that removed more than half of the tumor. That was a good thing! But, because the rest of it's on my brain stem, removing the rest could lead to worse outcomes, like paralysis on one side of my face or worse, loss of cognitive/mental abilities. That would NOT be a good thing.
At my 3-month post-op follow up visit in March 2025 with my surgeon, it was recommended that I go through 6-weeks of radiation to hopefully stop any future growth of the tumor. So in May, I went on Medical Leave and started what my wife jokingly called my: Radiation Vacation. Haha!
It's now Friday the 13th and I'm getting ready to wrap up Week 5 of 6.
But as most of you've probably experienced before with medical procedures, the bills are coming in hot and heavy! To make matters worse, I can't teach, so my income is a little less than the rest of the year.
Finally, this is the first time I've ever done something like this. And I know times are tight for many if not most of us. But...if you can spare/donate anything, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! --DanO
