Dan McCallum & his family need our help ❤

It is with a heavy heart that I share that my best friend and sister-in-law's husband Dan McCallum is fighting for his life in Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto.

It all started with a bad cut on Dan's leg which turned into a bad infection and then his body was taken over by invasive Group A Strep. This is a very serious infection and life threatening at this point as the bacteria has completely taken over Dan's body requiring him to be fully sedated and on a ventilator. Dan has already been through 3 surgeries and is facing another one today.

Dan's wife - Kayla - has been not only navigating Dan's care with all the doctors and specialists but is also taking care of her 8 year old daughter Chloe on her own. Kayla and Dan both have the biggest hearts and would give the shirts off their backs to anyone in need.

It is our time to help out this family and take some of the financial stress off of their shoulders. Any and all donations are extremely appreciated and would help Kayla with managing the incoming bills/expenses and will also help her and Chloe in getting back and forth to Sunnybrook in Toronto to visit Dan (transportation costs, meals, accommodations, etc).

It is anticipated to be a long road to recovery for Dan and the timeline for a full recovery at this point is still unknown. Those who know and love Dan know what a wonderful, caring and kind person he is - let's show him some extra love and support and help him and his beautiful family in this time of need ❤. 

Kayla is juggling a lot right now and it will be difficult for her to respond in a timely manner to all of the messages I am sure she will receive but please know we will continue to keep the group updated on Dan's progress.
