Dan Macro
Dan Macro was the kind of friend you took for granted. Not because you were a bad person but because he was just so good at it. He was ALWAYS there. He was like home. No matter how bad things were you just always assumed he would be there to bounce off an idea, share a bad day or better yet share some amazing news. He was the BEST kind of friend but sadly the one that leaves the BIGGEST hole when they leave you.
At 2:30pm on October 6th we lost Dan to an unknown brain aneurism that caused a hemorrhagic stroke. He was doing what he loved so much on something with two wheels. Dan squeezed ever ounce out of life. He was Love, Laughter and Life embodied in a human.
Dan is leaving behind a wonderful family and his fiancee Christina. In the almost 15 years that I have called Dan a friend Christina has been the constant in his life. his best friend, his one true love. Dan and Christina had plans to be married earlier this year. I still have the "save the date" on my fridge. Sadly due to Covid they had to postpone until it was deemed appropriate to have a wedding.
For his family and Christina a tough road lies ahead of them. Typically we see these campaigns to help with funeral expenses. The real hard part comes after we say our goodbyes. A mortgage that now has to rest on one when before it was shared. Car payments, bills that don't care you are alone. In short... money... lots of needed money.
A mother and father are burying their son. A sister is saying goodbye to her brother and a Fiancee has to say goodbye to the love of her life. Money is the last thing any of them should ever have to worry about.
Dan did so much for so many and it's now time for us to start doing some of the heavy lifting. Everyone's situation is different. Give what you can but I ask to dig deep. We live in frivolous times where we spend money on things that really don't matter. I'm asking that if just for a short while you take that money and direct it to loved ones in need so they can concentrate on saying goodbye to a truly remarkable human being.
The funds donated will be directly given to Dan’s fiancé Christina.
Dan was the best of us. I took him for granted like so many and today as I type this I would give just about anything to just have 30 more seconds to say goodbye. Let's honor him by taking care of those that meant so much to him. We all know he would do the same for us.
I love you Dan and no string of words can be constructed to really express that. We all however will honor you in living this life just how you would have... by squeezing out every last drop!
Sincerely,
a heartbroken friend
