Dan Lash - Multiple Myeloma
Donation protected
On June 22, 2018 Dan was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, cancer of his blood. There is no cure for this but it is treatable. Dan is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatments. He will require a stem cell transplant in a few months which includes 3 weeks in the hospital and a 3 month recovery period. He has received 4 blood transfusions in the past 3 weeks as his body is unable to make blood. Because of this he is unable to work due to extreme fatigue and weakness. In spite of all of this Dan's spirits remain high. He is a staff favorite at the cancer center due to his contagious smile and personality. He has a huge group of family and friends surrounding him with positive thoughts, prayers and messages of love and admiration. Dan is optimistic in what the future holds for him as he has many items left to cross off his bucket list. He is hoping that his current treatment will allow him to achieve remission and return to his normal routine including spending time with his grandchildren, riding his Harley, kayaking and hanging out with family and friends.
