Thank you so much for your continued generosity and support. The entire family is truly overwhelmed. We would like to give a quick update that anything we receive over our goal will continue to go toward the medical bills both Dan and Maureen have accrued while fighting COVID.
We need to help Maureen with funeral and medical expenses for Dan. He died due to complications from COVID-19 too soon at 56.
Last night Daniel Kothe was bleeding internally, causing his blood pressure to plummet, it took blood transfusions, and 7 blood pressure medications to keep his blood pressure up and it still kept dropping. They did a exploratory abdominal surgery to look for the bleed and found his gut/bowls had already died they call it Dead Gut. And his kidney started to fail so they had him on dialysis. At that point they knew they couldn't do anything further.
We kept Dan The Man comfortable, all of us got to love on him and hold his hand and say what we wanted to say. Tiffany, Megan, Maureen, Bridgette, mikayla, Adri, Rob and Aunt Carolyn. He even got to FaceTime Aunt Maria and Uncle John.
That is the only good part. I got to be there and they let us all in!!! He was with it enough to nod his head when we all talked to him. And Tiffany held his hand and rubbed his hair and sang Viva Las Vegas to him and he tried to dance and shimmy his shoulders to it.
We love you Dan, the world is a little darker without you in it today, so many will miss you and think of you every day.
